2006 was the year I purchased my first camera and began shooting. For seven years I shot with that camera and learned the basics of photography until I obtained a job in college as a photojournalist for the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) in January 2013. Since that time I have shot numerous weddings, engagements, portraits, and fashion work, as well as at many events such as conferences, athletic events, and commercial work.
As a photojournalist I have been taught to seek out and capture those moments that tell a story. It doesn't matter what the subject is; there's a story everywhere. I don't stop shooting when the action ends because the team hug occurs after the game and the nervous relative relaxes when he thinks the shoot is over.
